Product category in SRM local and replicated from the ECC

Hello experts,

 

We have been working with SRM and ECC for a while now and we have the following scenario:

 

1. Product categories are manually created in ECC

2. The same product categories are created in SRM (again manually) and are assigned to a hierarchy using COMM_HIERARCHY

 

This has worked for us until now as no replication was needed. Now we are looking into implementing the Plan Driven Procurement scenario and for this we will need to replicate the product categories from the ECC so that the materials can be replicated as well.

 

The trouble comes from the old historical data that is available in the system. Like shopping cart, because users will not be able to use the "Old Shopping Carts and Templates" option. This is heavily used in our company.

 

What happens if you delete a product category and try to oder a new shopping cart based on an old one, for the basic user nothing gets copied, while the purchaser gets the message <No authorization to purchase on product category ">

 

So now the question is, what do we do about this?

 

Has anyone been in this situation before? Or how would you handle this switch from the manual categories to the automatically replicated ones?

Hyperlink error message in SRM shopping cart

Hi All,

 

I have a requirement in SRM shopping cart, to highlight inputfield when clicking the hyperlink error message.

 

 

I am getting an error message " Line 1: No G/L account was entered; enter a G/L account " - I want this error message as hyperlink and when end users click this link, "General Ledger Account" field should be highlighted under Details section - Account Assignment tab.

 

This functionaliy is now available for "Product category does not exist" error message. 

When I clicked this link, it is highlighting the "Product Category" inputfield under Details section - Item Data tab.

 

How do I implement the same for "Line 1: No G/L account was entered; enter a G/L account" error message.

POWL - New field (Disappearing)

Hi,

 

Iam trying to add new field to POWL by below steps:

 

 

  1. Add the field in  in the structure /SAPSRM/S_POWL_RESULT_SC_ITM. There is an include reserved for this purpose INCL_EEW_PD_SEARCH_HDR_CSF_SC “Cust.Enhancements in Shoppg Cart Header: Search Results”. Create an Append structure in this structure and add the field.
  2. Return to SPRO to adjust POWL Layout,Search Criteria and Push Buttons or Use Traansaction /SAPSRM/POWL_CUST and add the field in Feeder Type SAPSRM_FEEDER_SC_PROF.
  3. When i go to Shopping area , i can see my New field for the First time,but when i refresh the page, the  new field is disappearing. Am i missing some thing here.

I executed program POWL_D01 and even though i cannot see the new field.

Uploading PO in SRM 7 EHP2 from flat file

Hi Experts,

 

I need to upload all the open POs from my SRM 5.0 system to SRM 7 EHP2 system.

Is there any SAP provided standard program to download POs from SRM 5.0 in a flat file?

 

Is there any SAP provided standard program to upload POs from flat file to SRM 7 ehp2?

 

If yes please share the details.

 

I also read about uploading and downloading of purchasing document in the following link:

However not too sure whether i can use this feature to fulfill my requirement.Any thoughts around this?

No RFC authorization for function module SALRT_GET_CATEGORIES

HI All,

 

I am using SRM 7.0 and I have created a shopping cart. This is sent to the manager for approval.

When I open the managers logon I see the below error" No RFC authorization for function module SALRT_GET_CATEGORIES"

 

The detailed error log is shown below. Please let me know how I can fix this.

 

An error occurred while reading the destination SAP_SRM$AlertConnector, type RFC. The error was <--Localization failed: ResourceBundle=com.sap.exception.io.IOResourceBundle, ID=No such destination SAP_SRM$AlertConnector of type RFC exists , Arguments: []--> : Cant find resource for bundle java.util.PropertyResourceBundle, key No such destination SAP_SRM$AlertConnector of type RFC exists .

SRMSUS Portal

Hi,

 

I copied BSP  SRMSUS into ZSRMSUS in a local object as i read at a post using SE80 and right click on app name.

I need to hide some views according  user role so I made this copy and along the project i'll have to create some new views to show info.

But i'm not sure if i'm going well and I have some questions that make me not to be sure about this.

 

I read that to copy a standard BSP into a ZBSP is the best way to enhance the standard one. Right ???

 

What package do i have to put the new ZSRMSUS into???... A new Z package into???

 

What is the best...just to copy it into ZSRMSUS and then modify views OR  to do the last and to make a Z copy of every class used in standard SRMSUS???

 

When i'm logging into SRMSUS i'm getting Netweaver Logon Page but when logging into ZSRMSUS i'm getting a single window for typing user and pass form SRM server (there isn't any problem to log in after type them)...What do i have to do to get the Netweaver Logon Page???

 

Recently some new fields were added in standard SRMSUS and I noticed that these fields are being shown well in my new and local bsp ZSRMSUS but... what if we need to add more fields in future??? I mean, the fields were added by customizing and what will happen with next fields now wit ZSRMSUS as active portal...will be added at same way or do we need to modify customizing???

 

I don't know Customizing, so my last question... Do we need to configure something to refer the new ZSRMSUS portal instead standard SRMSUS???

Shopping Cart completely approved but not available in SOCO !!

Hi All,

 

The SC was being processed and suddenly SAP got closed. When SAP was re-started, SC got disappeared. In bbp_pd, the SC shows as completely approved but it is not available in SOCO to process. Requestor and Approver both are consistent. Workflow is also complete. Requesting help in bringing back the SC to SOCO.

 

What I tried -

1. Tried pushing SC to SOCO through progrram CLEAN_REQREQ_UP, but did not help.

2. Manually tried to set the SRC REL indicator to 'X', but it went to dump with the error "buffer table not up to date". Searched notes and refreshed buffer for this but was of no use.

 

What I suspect - While running the FM - BBP_PDIGP_DB_DIRECT_UPDATE, I have seen that there is no entry for the SC GUID in the tables BBP_PDIGP and BBPD_PD_INDEX_I. Will this have any impact?

 

Kindly advise how to bring back the SC to SOCO. Thanks.

Catalog Item not transfering

Hi

 

We have an issue on SRM 7. when we create a shopping cart with Catalog items they are transferred correctly.

 

We then order the shopping cart, while the shopping cart is in awaiting approval status we attempt to add another item from the catalog but the Item is not transferring to the catalog.

 

Can some shed some light as to why this is happening.

RFQ Shopping Cart

Hi sap gurus,

 

Can anyone clarify what is RFQ shopping cart. Is RFQ SC and Wizard based(4-step) SC same?

 

As per my knowledge I know Simplified SC, One-Step SC, Wizard Based(4-Step) SC, Limitation SC and  Free text SC

 

How to create this RFQ shopping cart and what is the functionality of  RFQ SC.

 

One thing i know about RFQ sc is for this kind of sc there is no PO creation...

Item 001 order XXXX budget almost exhausted

Dear Experts,

 

We are getting issue in SRM 5.0 while creation of shopping carts - Cost assignment is Internal Order.

 

If the Internal Order reaches 80% of its Budget Utilization, system is showing error - "Item 001 Order XXX Budget almost exhausted"

 

We tried in ECC 6.0 by creating PO manually with the Internal Order it shows warning message till 100% of its budget Utilization.

 

Is this Standard behavior ?

 

How this can be resolved ? Any suggestion please.

SRM MDM Catalog Issue

Hi,

 

We've setup SRM MDM catalog to be accessed via Portal.

 

However, when we click on the Catalog name (defined under Webservices) under Shop,

we see the correct screen for just a nanosecond URL:

This immediately gets replaced with:

which looks as attached with Version Info.

This final (second) screen: ProcurementCatalog7Ehp1 is not the correctone, since its not integrated properly & gives errors while navigating.

 

The first (correct) screen as seen in the URL: MDM_SRM_UI_App gets "suspended"...


Please can anyone advise if they've seen a similar issue...

Customizing Take Over button on SRM Shopping Cart.

Hi Experts,

 

I require help on a requirement where the Take Over button on the Shopping Cart application on the Enterprise Portal is desired to be customized. The requirement demands to call the Professional Shopping Cart application at the click of the Take Over button instead of the standard take over functionality.

 

Somebody, please suggest means to achieve the same. Revert back if further information is required for the same.

one line in "item in transfer process" status and the other line in "error in transfer process" status

Hi Experts,

 

I have a shopping cart with 2 lines. For 1st line PO should be created as vendor has been maintained in Source of supply tab and for the 2nd line PR should be created. The cart initially failed due wrong delivery date. I then corrected the dated and reordered it, but after doing this I am not getting the option to refire(create follow on docs). Now 1st line item is in "item in transfer process" status and the other line in "error in transfer process" status.

 

I tried using FM bbp_pd_sc_resubmit and was able to create the PR for 2nd line, but while trying to do the same with 1st line, the PO is not getting created. Anybody help me and suggest me what should I do now ?

Dear Guru's,

 

I get this message when I try to access our MDM catalog

Cannot run Catalog application; contact your system administrator

 

The funny thing is when I access from client 100 it works fine but when using another client say 501 I get the message

 

The call structure is identical in both clients.

 

Do I have to do something in the different client to get it to work?

Shopping carts failure to show 'multiple' po for more than one PO #

Hey,

Normally, Shopping carts  with more than one PO number, does show "Multiplpe" on PO column on  Carts and Monitor Shopping carts. This funcitionality does not happen for the following SC that has more than one PO on the SC Line. it shows just the first PO number instead of the word "Multiple" SC#1/has PO #2 and #3 . what might be the cause and suggested solution?.

GET versus POST in OCI Catalog

Hi Experts -- how do I get SAP to send POST command instead of GET command when it sends user id and password info to the vendor's URL?  I have tried using POST in the HOOK_URL (HOOK_URL = SAPEVENT:POST) and RequestMethod = POST but, GET is still being received by the vendor. 

 

Additionally, even though my URL setting does not include user id and password, SAP still sends them as one string attached to the URL.. How do I insure the id and password for the site are sent separate from the URL?

Idoc communication errors : SRM 7.0

Hi Experts,

 

We have found Idoc communication error at application monitor as below

 

As per the error description, I have checked CUNI transaction and found that ISO code is not defined for USD.

 

But I would like to find out the corresponding idoc number which got failed. Could you please suggest the steps to find out  the corresponding document.
